Mbabane – Peter ‘Samora’ Simelane has officially stepped down as Principal Officer of Eswatini-Med, concluding a tenure that spanned more than 30 years.

Simelane’s retirement, effective May 2, 2026, marks the end of an era for the organization. During his three decades of leadership, he oversaw the transformation of Eswatini-Med into a foundational element of the national healthcare system, evolving the entity into a modern healthcare solutions provider.

Eswatini-Med expressed deep gratitude for Simelane’s contribution, citing his focus on humanity, dignity, and people-centered leadership as the hallmarks of his legacy. His work alongside the Board helped align the organization with international best practices while expanding healthcare infrastructure across the country.
