MATSAPHA- The deep house scene in Eswatini is set for a major cultural moment as Deep House Conversations (DHC) hosts South African music heavyweight Greg Maloka on Sunday, May 3, 2026.
The highly anticipated lifestyle event will take place at Bahle Pantry @ The Foundry (Plot 667, Tabankulu Street, next to Village Baker) from 12:00 PM until 11:00 PM. Entrance is E150, payable at the gate.
A Musical Maestro Takes the Decks
Dubbed “The Musical Maestro,” Maloka is a towering figure in Southern Africa’s music and broadcasting landscape. Born and raised in Diepkloof, Soweto, his love for music began at just 13 years old, when he recorded radio-style shows while spinning vinyl records at home.
Over the decades, he has become a respected DJ, cultural curator and industry leader. He is a founding member of YFM, one of South Africa’s most influential youth radio stations, and served as Managing Director of Kaya FM from 2008 to 2020.
Maloka has mentored prominent media personalities such as DJ Fresh and Unathi Msengana, further cementing his legacy in shaping modern African music culture.
He is also co-founder of Deejays Unite (DJU) alongside industry heavyweights Oskido, Vinny Da Vinci, and Christos, and played a key role in establishing the Southern African Music Conference, a platform supporting emerging talent across genres.
