Lobamba : Minister of Home Affairs, Princess Lindiwe, has paid tribute to King Mswati III, describing his 40-year reign as a period marked by stability, resilience, and significant national transformation.
Speaking during the 40/58 Double Celebration, the minister reflected on the early days of His Majesty’s rule, noting that it “feels like yesterday” when he ascended to the throne at a time when neighbouring South Africa was experiencing a volatile political climate. She said Eswatini had, under his leadership, remained united and focused on development.
Princess Lindiwe highlighted the country’s socioeconomic progress over the past four decades, attributing it to government’s dedication and the King’s leadership. She said the transformation witnessed across sectors stands as clear evidence of sustained commitment to improving the lives of emaSwati.
She further pledged government’s continued loyalty and dedication to His Majesty, emphasising a collective responsibility to advance national development. The minister said government remains committed to ensuring that every Liswati enjoys a quality of life aligned with first-world standards.
The remarks formed part of tributes honouring His Majesty’s 40 years on the throne and his 58th birthday.
