Mbabane: UngaPress is a football term that means ‘don’t close the opponent quickly’.
It is familiar language to football stars and Manzini Wanderers midfield maestro has launched a clothing range named ‘UngaPress’. Ngidi who is nicknamed ‘Navigator’ after his idol, former Bafana Bafana international Teko Modise was helped present the clothing range that include t-shirts, hats and caps among others by teammate at Wanderers, Congolese winger Mike Dombo and Mbabane Swallows wing-wizard Wonder ‘Samba Jive’ Nhleko.
“It has been my dream from way back to have my own clothing line and Teko Modise is always my inspiration. I’m so much into fashion too. I learned all this from his book “the curse of Teko Modise”. His attitude towards things is class and like his never say die attitude,” Ngidi said in an interview.
He continues to explain that UngaPress is a football term term of closing down quickly but closing someone who is clever and smart may cause too much harm to you and your entire team and that it is always better “UngaPress”
“I’m so much into this project my brother and planning to make it grow bigger with the support from my fellow Emaswati. Of course there are challenges and will definitely need more assistance.”
