MBABANE — Fast rising local label Mabonwa Abulawe Records is preparing to release a new Trap Gospel anthem titled Simayakayaka on March 6, 2026, a project expected to make waves in Eswatini’s gospel and urban music circles.
The single will be available on major digital streaming platforms and features a lineup of local artists including JimiBoi SD, Young Zesh and Lesia Musiq, with additional contributions from Histo and Linda Dlamini. Production was handled by DJ Citie, while Ncwiki Flex designed the artwork for the release.
Chief executive officer Young Zesh described the project as a deliberate artistic and spiritual undertaking rather than a routine single. He said the song unites what he called an “anointed lineup” and reflects the label’s mission to blend street culture with faith based messaging.
Young Zesh said the inspiration behind the track came from lived experiences of struggle and resilience. “The inspiration behind the song came from real life testimonies, stories of survival, redemption, prayer and perseverance,” he said.
According to the CEO, the label aims to connect with young people who relate to trap music but are also searching for deeper purpose. He said the creative process behind the song was shaped by intense emotional and spiritual experiences. “This song was born out of prayer sessions, life struggles, and the desire to remind people that no matter how dark it gets, God still calls us by name,” Young Zesh said.
He explained that the central message of Simayakayaka focuses on faith amid hardship. “The message is simple but powerful: God is still in control,” he said. “We’re addressing real life battles, depression, rejection, poverty, temptation, but we’re also declaring victory through faith. This is not just music; this is ministry over 808s.”
Young Zesh added that the song seeks to encourage listeners not to be defined by past mistakes. “We want listeners to understand that your past does not define you. Your mistakes do not cancel your purpose. There is grace, there is redemption, and there is restoration,” he said.
He called on supporters to back the release once it becomes available. “We urge everyone to stream, share and support this powerful Trap Gospel anthem on all digital platforms. Run it up, add it to your playlists, share it with someone who needs encouragement,” he said.
