Mbabane: Prime Minister Ambrose Mandvulo Dlamini said the since that day when His Majesty King Sobhuza II ushered the nation into a new era, the Kingdom have worked collectively towards making the State a better place for all emaSwati.

When addressing the nation on the occasion of Eswatini’s 52nd Independence Day, Dlamini said the commemoration of this day gives the nation an opportunity to reflect on all the gigantic steps taken since that historic afternoon of September 6, 1968. Dlamini said the country has grown leaps and bounds in almost all sectors be it in education, health, industry and trade and many others.

Dlamini highlighted that among many triumphs the country have reached over the years, the adoption of the constitution in 2005 stands out. The constitution is a document that was informed and shaped emaSwatini to direct the country’s affairs which was eventually launched and presented to the nation by His Majesty King Mswati III.

He urged emaSwati to be proud to be proud of the steps they have taken and how far the country have grown over the years. “I encourage emaSwati to look into the future inspired by all the challenges we have collectively overcome. We have many more challenges to confront in the future as a number of our people are still languishing in poverty and many of our young people are unemployed.

“I further thank and congratulate Their Majesties for their unending wisdom and for side our side we will continue to ensure the growth of our beautiful Kingdom.” Dlamini concluded his remarks.
