Piggs Peak Police are investigating a murder case following the death of a 22 year old woman whose body was discovered on Saturday afternoon in the Manjengeni area.
According to the Royal Eswatini Police Service reports, the incident occurred on February 14, 2026, at about 1400 hours. The victim, a young woman from Hlane, was found lying motionless along a pathway in Manjengeni.
Police state that she had sustained multiple stab wounds to the head and neck inflicted with a sharp object. Preliminary investigations suggest the incident may have followed an intense argument between the deceased and a suspect believed to be her boyfriend.
A passer by who was walking home from work reportedly witnessed the altercation and tried to intervene. However, the suspect fled the scene before he could be apprehended. The witness immediately rushed to the Mananga Border Post to report the matter.
The Royal Eswatini Police Service confirmed that investigations are ongoing as officers work to trace and arrest the suspect.
The Royal Eswatini Police Service is appealing to anyone who may have seen or heard or knows of any information that can assist with the investigation of this case to come forward.
