Mbabane: Gospel artist, Lobukhosi Makhubu has delivered top class performance in her first virtual show dubbed “Bethesda Healing Experience”

The show was supported by Evolve Studios and was live on Evolve Studios Facebook page. The 54 minutes live show attracted over one 1700 live viewers.

Based on reactions and comments from Facebook, viewers were thrilled by the performance. From the comments on Facebook one could tell that people fell in love with the songs “Ngaphiliswa” and “Ngipholise” which was a twisted rendition originally by the late gospel artist Sfiso Ncwane.

In an interview Makhubu explained her love for worship. She told the entertainment desk that her love for music stated at an early age. She said, she came into the music industry in 2015 and in 2016 she got featured in Nduduzo Matse’s album, “Yomile Inhliziyo Yami”. Currently she said, she has one album titled “His Ways” which was recorded live at Mavuso Trade Centre.

Reacting after the show Makhubu said she was very much impressed by the viewers and the response she got, “I never expected such a high rate of viewership, we praise God for that” she said.

Speaking ion the theme, “Bethesda Healing Experience” Makhubu said, she has been a victim of unexpected pain, disappointment and sudden loss, so she made the show to heal and comfort the broken.

“I thought how of many things that people are silently suffering from, that they can’t talk about, that make them cry to sleep without anyone’s knowledge”. “And I thought what better time to address those wounds, open those up to God and say Lord heal us” she said.

She said, she felt that if there’s a time the world needs healing is now. From the pandemic, she said people have lost jobs, associating with our loved ones has come to a halt. ‘The new normal itself came with an unusual painful experience so from all that I was saying to God help us to focus on you and forget about all that is going on”, she said.

Makhubu said she has more in store and she thanked her fans for always supporting her in buying and following her music. She tanked Evolve Studios for an excellent work and added that she was most definitely looking forward to another virtual show.

Meanwhile Lunga Shongwe, the director of Evolve Studios said it was always at the heart of his company to help the entertainment industry to thrive amid the corona virus pandemic, by delivering the best live productions and live streaming of shows on multiple digital platforms.

He said his company has worked with a number of stakeholders in the industry, live streaming shows and making it possible to get maximum reach. His company has worked with Swazi Boy, Tik Tok Eswatini, Smallz The Comedian, Linda Dlamini, Lockdown Gospel Music awards and many others.
