Mbabane: Sicelo Dlamini, the man who heartlessly and gruesomely stabbed the 18 year old schoolgirl is death after hanging himself in his shop.
Chief Police Information and Communication Officer confirmed the incident mentioning that Dlamini’s body was found hanging in his shop that is located around Bhadzeni area in the early hours of Tuesday morning. Vilakati told this publication that Dlamini’s body was found by the police party that has been tirelessly searching for him following the heartless murder of the 18 year old schoolgirl.
The country woke up on Tuesday to read about the shocking news Dlamini stabbing his live-in lover following a brief quarrel with the school girl over the past weekend. Reports are to the effects that Dlamini (25) attacked the young girl at his homestead where the pair was hibernating over the duration of the lockdown due to coronavirus pandemic.
The pupil is said to have sustained 21 stab wounds from the cruel attack, in the cold blooded murder that left the community of Bhadzeni shattered.
The gruesome murder happened at Bhadzeni II, an area located in the Mankayane precinct on Sunday morning. Police were called to the scene and a search party was commissioned by the police for the man’s whereabouts. The search for the man has been going on until the early hours of Tuesday morning when the man’s body was found hanging in his shop.
Reports by a local newspaper on Tuesday are that the couple got into an argument after the man got a tongue lashing from his parent who raised concerns about the staying arrangement between the young man and the schoolgirl who had already resumed her lessons at Dwalile Community High School, where she was doing Form III. It was not clear what exactly transpired during the couple’s argument.
But it was suspected that the girl could have agreed with the parent’s point of view, which might have led to the man getting angry. The man is reported to have woke up on Sunday angry and reached for a knife which he kept in the house, after a brief altercation with the teen, leading to a short chase around the family yard where he ended up stabbing the girl repeatedly.
