Mbabane: Alcohol selling and distribution remains prohibited in Eswatini following the two months ban that was announced by Prime Minister Ambrose Mandvulo Dlamini in June.

This announcement was made by the Government’s spokesperson Sabelo Dlamini on Monday through a brief statement that was sent to all media houses. Dlamini said the ban remains intact until further pronouncement. “The ban on sale of alcohol announced by the Prime Minister continues. The nation will be informed timely of any change.” Dlamini said.

The Government’s mouthpiece announcement comes after the ban that was announced in June elapsed on August 31 and the liquor sellers and booze lovers were eagerly looking forward into lifting of the ban which however, remains in place.
