Mbabane – Minister of Commerce, Industry and Trade Manqoba Khumalo received a courtesy call from Dr Ruth Kattumuri, Senior Director at The Commonwealth, on Friday, 23 January 2025, to discuss areas of cooperation aimed at advancing Eswatini’s industrial and investment agenda.

The engagement focused on strengthening collaboration between Eswatini and The Commonwealth, particularly on the use of the Commonwealth’s Geneva Office to support small states in trade and investment related matters.

According to information from the Ministry, discussions included technical assistance for the development of regulations governing Special Economic Zones, the establishment of an SEZ website, and support in preparing bankable investment projects to attract both local and foreign investors.
