Mbabane – The Eswatini Civil Aviation Authority (ESWACAA) hosted a Strategic Partner Engagement today, focusing on the role of air transport in boosting the national economy. The session, moderated by ESWACAA CEO Gciniwe Fakudze, brought together government officials, industry leaders, and business executives to discuss ways to strengthen Eswatini’s aviation sector.

The engagement centred on the theme: “Air Transport: A Catalyst for Economic Growth in Eswatini.” Participants explored how improving the aviation ecosystem can connect “Made in Eswatini” products to international markets and position the Kingdom as a prime destination for tourism and investment.

Key areas of discussion included global connectivity, economic sovereignty, and efficient execution of the national aviation strategy, referred to as the Nkwe Spirit. Officials highlighted KMIII International Airport as a regional gateway capable of supporting trade, cargo logistics, and overall GDP growth.

“By enhancing our aviation sector, we are shortening the distance between ‘Made in Eswatini’ products and global markets, while making the Kingdom a premier destination for international investment and tourism,” Fakudze said.
