Persistent heavy rainfall has forced the MTN Premier League to revise its Matchweek 15 programme, with only fixtures scheduled at the King Sobhuza II Memorial Stadium set to go ahead this weekend.
In an update issued by the League, officials confirmed that adverse weather conditions and unsafe playing surfaces have led to the postponement of all other matches, which have now been rescheduled for midweek. The decision was taken in the interest of player safety and to preserve the quality of the pitches.
“Clubs are hereby informed that, due to inclement weather conditions, the League has effected changes to the scheduled fixtures. Please find attached the amended fixtures for both leagues. All clubs are expected to take note of the adjustments and comply accordingly. The League appreciates the cooperation of all concerned,” the PLE said.

Despite the widespread disruptions, football fans will still be treated to live action at King Sobhuza II Stadium. The highly anticipated clash between Nsingizini and Mbabane Swallows will proceed as planned on Saturday, offering supporters a rare dose of weekend football amid the rain-induced setbacks.
The stadium will also host a second fixture on Sunday, with Rangers taking on Tabankulu Celtics, ensuring continuity of competition at the only venue deemed playable.
The League has since circulated amended fixtures for both competitions and urged all clubs, officials and supporters to take note of the changes and comply accordingly, as weather conditions continue to dictate scheduling decisions.
