MBABANE – Young Buffaloes FC forward Bongwa Matsebula has been named the MTN Premier League Player of the Month for December following a strong run of form during the festive period.
The award recognises Matsebula’s contribution across five league matches in December where he scored three goals and played a key role in shaping results for the defending champions. His standout moment came against Nsingizini Hotspurs when his goal proved decisive in a closely fought contest, earning Young Buffaloes all three points.
The left footed attacker was a constant threat throughout the month, combining intelligent movement with composed finishing and the ability to stretch opposition defences. His presence in the final third allowed Young Buffaloes to sustain pressure and remain effective going forward.
Matsebula now joins Nsingizini Hotspurs captain Neliswa Tiger Dlamini and Rangers midfielder Heliso Gamedze as recipients of the monthly award this season. The trio remain in contention for the MTN Premier League Player of the Season honour as the campaign continues.
