Mbabane: The Mbabane Alliance Church’s leader, Reverend Johannes Vuyisile Mazibuko has tested positive for COVID-19.
This comes after another misfortune which saw the passing away of the reverend’s wife, Pastor Rose Mazibuko last month.
The reverend is reported by one of local dailies as saying he suspects to have contracted the virus from some people who came to visit him after the passing of his spouse.
Speaking to the Independent News, Alliance Church Secretary General, Eric Muzi Dlamini, said all he was aware of was that Mazibuko is under medical examination and was being monitored by doctors. Dlamini did not reveal the name of the place where the man of God is cared for.
“I am fully aware that Reverend Mazibuko is not well and in due time I will be getting information on his progress, which I will give out to those who may need it,” said Dlamini.
Pastors from across the country confirmed that the cleric is unwell, and that he is admitted at one of the hospitals. Said one of the pastors who will not be named; “We have been talking to the man of God who remains under examination and he seems very well.”
