Mbabane – Tourism arrivals in Eswatini for November 2025 saw a notable decline, with the country welcoming 65,446 visitors. This represents a 10% decrease compared to the same month in 2024, according to the latest statistical release from the Eswatini Tourism Authority.
The biggest drop in arrivals came from neighbouring South Africa, with 38,541 visitors recorded, a 5.7% reduction from last year. Mozambique, however, showed a positive increase in arrivals, with 13,570 tourists, marking a 14.9% rise. Zimbabwe, on the other hand, saw a sharp decline of 35.6%, with only 3,385 visitors from the country.
Overseas markets also showed mixed results. The number of French visitors dropped significantly by 48.6%, with only 1,013 tourists arriving. The United States followed with a 19.5% decrease, bringing in 646 visitors. Germany also experienced a steep decline, with arrivals falling by 57.2% to just 616.
Emerging markets revealed some interesting patterns. The Philippines, Malawi, and Sweden stood out as countries showing growth, although the exact number of arrivals was not specified in the release.
On average, tourists stayed for 1.84 nights during the month, contributing to the country’s tourism statistics for November.
