Lesotho’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has launched a new initiative aimed at increasing the country’s visibility in international tourism markets. The Embassy of Lesotho in Rome has facilitated a familiarisation tour of Globe Trotters SA Ltd, a marketing firm that focuses on tourism in Europe and the United States.
The visit, which began on December 1, 2025, is being led by Lesotho’s Ambassador to Italy, H.E. Lebeko Sello. The 12-day tour includes meetings with key officials, including the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Tourism. The goal of the visit is to promote Lesotho as an attractive travel destination, building on the recent Lesotho-EU visa waiver that is expected to boost tourist arrivals to the country.
As part of the partnership, Globe Trotters SA Ltd will produce a documentary highlighting Lesotho’s rich culture, scenic landscapes, and adventure tourism opportunities. This effort is aimed at capturing the interest of potential tourists from Europe and the United States.
