Doha, Qatar – Ousmane Dembélé and Aitana Bonmatí were crowned the best male and female footballers at the 2025 FIFA Awards in Doha, Qatar, where the world’s top players, coaches and goalkeepers were recognised for their performances in the 2024–25 season.

Dembélé, who overcame fitness struggles, played a pivotal role in Paris Saint Germain’s first ever UEFA Champions League title, beating Barcelona star Lamine Yamal and a strong field including Achraf Hakimi, Harry Kane, Kylian Mbappé, Mohamed Salah, Cole Palmer, Pedri, Raphinha, Vitinha and Nuno Mendes.

Bonmatí collected her third consecutive Best FIFA Women’s Player award while on crutches after breaking her leg during training with the Spain national team. She triumphed over Temwa Chawinga from Malawi, Alexia Putellas, Lucy Bronze, Lauren James, Alessia Russo, Leah Williamson and other top talents.

Luis Enrique was named Best FIFA Men’s Coach for leading PSG to Champions League glory, while England manager Sarina Wiegman won Best FIFA Women’s Coach for guiding the Lionesses to the Euro 2025 title.
