Manzini — Despite the numerous challenges of shortages of medical drugs and personnel in public health facilities, the Ministry of Health honoured the finest health professionals and facilities at the 2025 Health Excellence Awards, recognising exceptional service, innovation, and commitment across Eswatini’s healthcare sector.
It was a day of celebration and recognition as the Minister of Health Mduduzi Matsebula honoured the practitioners and facilities, at The George Hotel in Manzini.
The winners were announced as best Tertiary Hospital awarded to Manzini Government Hospital best regional hospital went to Good Shepherd Hospital, best health centre awarded to Nhlangano Health Centre, best public health clinic awarded to Phocweni EUDF Clinic and best individual contributing to health outcomes given to Sister Andrew Jele to mention a few.
Matsebula said the awards marked a significant moment in reaffirming the country’s dedication to quality healthcare.
“We gather not only to celebrate resilient excellence in healthcare service delivery, but to reaffirm our collective commitment to building a healthier Eswatini,” he said.
“These awards are more than accolades. They reflect our core values, quality, accountability, innovation, and compassion,” he added.
The ceremony celebrated achievements across eight key categories, highlighting excellence from national hospitals to community-level champions. Matsebula commended the winners and nominees for their unwavering service, innovation, and resilience.
“Your dedication strengthens our health system and inspires confidence among our people. You are the backbone of our progress,” he said.
Matsebual said that the awards are part of a long-term effort to inspire continuous improvement, promote best practices and strengthen public trust in health services.
He extended appreciation to partners and sponsors for supporting the initiative, noting that their contributions make it possible to spotlight excellence in the sector.
