Mbabane – The Ministry of Information, Communications and Technology (ICT) held a candlelight ceremony ahead of World AIDS Day to remember those who have died from HIV-related illnesses and to show support for people living with HIV.
The event was led by Minister Savannah Maziya, who said the ministry joined the national programme to highlight the importance of unity in the country’s HIV response. She noted that the gesture was meant to honour lives lost and acknowledge ongoing efforts to reduce new infections.
The candle lighting ceremony was attended by ministry officials, which formed part of activities leading up to the national World AIDS Day commemoration.
