Mbabane – Tabankulu Celtics’ strong start to the MTN Premier League season has been powered by one man, in form striker Malangeni Dlamini, whose scoring streak has become the backbone of the club’s early momentum.
Celtics sit fifth on the log with 12 points from seven matches, a position largely shaped by Dlamini’s reliability in front of goal. The striker has already scored seven times, placing him among the league’s most influential players at this stage of the campaign.
Several of the club’s biggest victories have carried Dlamini’s imprint. His hat trick steered Celtics to a convincing 3, 0 win over Royal Leopard, he struck twice in the 4, 1 triumph over Manzini Wanderers, and he was again on the scoring sheet in the 2, 0 defeat of Nsingizini Hotspurs. Each performance has reinforced his role as the team’s driving force.
Reflecting on his form, the striker said he was encouraged by his growing consistency and hungry to deliver more for the club.
“I am really happy that I managed to score a hat trick against Royal Leopard and a brace against Manzini Wanderers. My wish is to score in every game,” Dlamini said, adding that he has set a personal target of reaching 15 goals by the end of the first round.
While the number is ambitious, his current rhythm suggests that Celtics may benefit even more from his scoring push. His form also places him in notable company internationally, with Europe’s top forwards such as Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappé posting similar early season totals.
As Celtics aim to climb higher on the table, Dlamini’s influence is becoming central to the club’s ambitions, shaping not only results but the team’s growing confidence each week.
