Manzini police have taken a 42-year-old resident of Nhlangano into custody for allegedly attempting to kill two people at Sankolo. The incident occurred on 23 November 2025 around midnight.
According to the Royal Eswatini Police Service, the suspect reportedly stabbed a 38-year-old woman from Ngogodla in Mhlangeni and a 43-year-old man from Luhleko while the three were at the same compound. The suspect had been drinking with his partner and the victims when an argument erupted between him and his partner.
The victims intervened to prevent the confrontation from escalating, as the couple was known for frequent fights when intoxicated. Instead of calming down, the suspect attacked the two, stabbing the woman multiple times on her left arm, chest, and below her left breast, while the man sustained several stab wounds on his body and arms.
Both victims were admitted to Mankayane Government Hospital for treatment. The suspect is scheduled to appear at Manzini Magistrate Court today.
