Taipei – Three officials from Eswatini visited Taiwan in early November for a workshop on eco-tourism, focusing on sustainable tourism and cultural preservation. The visit was organised by the Embassy of the Republic of China Taiwan to the Kingdom of Eswatini.
Ms Tengetile Nxumalo noted how Taiwan uses natural and urban spaces, including mountains, lakes, reserves, and vacant land, to create stories that attract visitors and promote eco-tourism. Mr Sipho Matsebula said the experience reinforced the importance of cultural pride and documentation in building resilient eco-tourism back home. Ms Temahlubi Nkambule thanked the Taiwanese government for supporting Eswatini’s economic and tourism development initiatives.
