Johannesburg – Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has landed in Johannesburg to participate in G20 Summit-related engagements. Through a tweet, he expressed his eagerness for productive discussions with world leaders on key global issues, with a focus on strengthening international cooperation, advancing development priorities, and building a better future for all.

Modi also conveyed his gratitude for the warm welcome he received from the Indian community in Johannesburg, which he described as a reflection of the strong and enduring bond between India and South Africa. He noted that these ties, rooted in shared values and history, continue to grow stronger.

During his visit, Modi took part in a cultural moment where the Indian community performed prayers like Ganapati Prarthana and Shanti Mantra, reflecting their devotion and the enduring connection between the two countries. The Indian community also showcased vibrant folk dances from 11 states of India in a cultural programme titled ‘Rhythms of a United India,’ a display Modi praised as a testament to their enduring cultural connection with India.
