Sidvokodvo – The Ministry of ICT has joined the nation in celebrating two major global achievements by The Luke Commission and Luvelo. On Monday, 17th November 2025, the Ministry recognized the international accreditation of The Luke Commission’s medical laboratory and Luvelo’s global recognition for transformative digital innovation in healthcare by the Financial Times and the World Bank Group.
These prestigious awards highlight significant strides made in healthcare and digital transformation. The Luke Commission, known for its compassionate outreach to communities, has expanded its impact through Luvelo’s innovative digital systems. These systems ensure that patients receive timely care, vital information is shared efficiently, and no one is left behind.
Honourable Minister Savannah Maziya, in a keynote address delivered on her behalf, expressed the importance of these achievements. “As the Ministry responsible for the nation’s digital backbone, we are proud to see technology becoming a bridge between healthcare and innovation, where data, compassion, and service meet,” she said.
The Minister also commended the collaboration between Luvelo and The Luke Commission, noting that the partnership embodies the nation’s core values of community, compassion, and care. “It proves that technology is most powerful when it serves humanity,” she added.
The Ministry of ICT also celebrated the success of its collaboration with Luvelo, which played a pivotal role in the rollout of the Government in Your Hand (GIYH) initiative. This partnership helped improve public service delivery and contributed to the Ministry winning the Best Government Stand award at the Eswatini International Trade Fair 2025.
The ICT Ministry congratulated both The Luke Commission and the Luvelo team for their continued contributions to Eswatini’s healthcare and technological advancements.
