Mbabane – Eswatini recorded a modest increase in tourist arrivals last month, with 76 061 visitors entering the Kingdom, up 0.4 percent compared to October 2024, according to the latest figures from the Eswatini Tourism Authority.
South Africa remained the top source of tourists, although arrivals dropped 2.5 percent to 43 426. Mozambique and Zimbabwe followed with 14 979 and 13 878 visitors, marking gains of 33.8 percent and 22.9 percent respectively.
Among overseas visitors, France led with 11 720 arrivals, despite a decline of 19.1 percent. The Netherlands and Germany also contributed, with 1 606 and a slightly lower number of visitors, showing decreases of 21 percent and 1.4 percent. Emerging markets included the Philippines, Italy, and Malawi, though specific figures were not provided.
Tourists spent an average of two nights in the Kingdom during October, consistent with trends observed earlier in the year.
