Manzini – The Royal Eswatini Police Service will increase its presence across key areas during the festive season to ensure public safety, National Commissioner of Police Manoma Vusi Masango announced on Friday.

Masango spoke during a prayer service at Divine Healing Ministries, organised by the Manzini Regional Christian Police Association, under the theme “Partnering with God, Guarding the City and Fighting Crime.” He said such gatherings allow the police to seek spiritual support for their operations.

The National Commissioner called on congregants to pray for protection against crimes including murder, sexual violence, and other offences. He also urged the public to cooperate with police to ensure a crime and accident-free holiday period. Masango warned that those breaking the law would face strict action and reaffirmed the service’s commitment to tackling drug trafficking and dealing without bias.

Pastor Shodi Msibi of Zakhele Free Evangelical Assemblies encouraged officers to uphold their Oath of Office and serve with diligence and respect. During the service, pastors offered special prayers for national leaders, security forces, and the broader community.
