Ezulwini – The Eswatini Tourism Authority (ETA), through its Research Department, hosted a two-day training on the Domestic Market Segmentation Survey at SibaneSami Hotel on Wednesday, 12 November 2025. The session brought together enumerators who will lead data collection efforts across the country to better understand how Emaswati travel within Eswatini.
The training, conducted in partnership with the Eswatini Economic Policy Analysis and Research Centre (ESEPARC), aimed to prepare participants with the technical knowledge and tools required to collect credible and high-quality data. It focused on building practical skills in research design, questionnaire administration, and the use of digital data collection platforms to ensure the accuracy and consistency of results.
The Domestic Market Segmentation Survey seeks to generate detailed insights into travel patterns, motivations, preferences and spending habits of local tourists. This information will be used to inform policy decisions, shape new tourism products, and strengthen the domestic market’s contribution to the national economy.
