Mbabane – GoTech Energy Holdings Limited, a major player in sustainable energy innovation, has formally selected Lufto Dlamini, chairperson of the Philani MaSwati Charity Organisation, as its Eswatini project coordinator in a daring bid to broaden its presence throughout Southern Africa.
Though the appointment was publicly confirmed on August 14, 2025, Dlamini commented only about his function in the organisation. According to GoTech Energy’s regional office in Pretoria, South Africa, Dlamini will be in charge of project planning and implementation, communicating with the government and local partners, and ensuring the smooth execution of energy solutions tailored to Eswatini’s growing power needs. Dlamini’s key responsibility is to lead and coordinate the firm’s business operations throughout Eswatini.
According to the letter signed by Robert Mbale, Group Executive Director (Commercial), Dlamini’s proven leadership and commitment to sustainable development make him the ideal choice to spearhead GoTech’s strategic initiatives in the region. Dlamini is also expected to represent GoTech Energy in both public and private forums, driving collaboration and policy dialogue on renewable energy and green innovation.
“Dlamini’s appointment symbolises our unwavering commitment to powering Africa with cleaner, smarter, and more accessible energy solutions,” said the letter. “We are confident his vision and expertise will play a vital role in transforming Eswatini’s energy landscape,” the letter reads.
GoTech Energy, operating under its subsidiaries—GoTech Energy (Pty) Limited (Commercial), GoTech Energy Technologies (Pty) Limited (Technical), and GoTech Energy Fund (Pty) Limited (Financial)—continues to strengthen its integrated approach to energy development across the continent. GoTech Energy’s mission is to drive renewable energy adoption and empower local economies through clean power initiatives.
Dlamini is convinced that with Eswatini’s ambitions to diversify its energy mix and reduce dependency on imported power, there is a viable partnership with GoTech Energy which could be a key player in driving the country’s transition toward sustainability and energy independence.
As GoTech Energy sets its sights on electrifying the continent, Dlamini’s leadership could prove instrumental in shaping a clean, resilient, and inclusive energy future for Eswatini.
According to Dlamini, this is a game changer for Eswatini, especially in the farming industry, particularly for sugar farmers. In an exclusive interview about his appointment, Dlamini noted that this innovation will come in handy since the traditional method of irrigation is costly.
He urged Emaswati to embrace this innovative initiative, saying that soon enough there will be offices around Africa.
Dlamini expressed gratitude, noting that they have their eyes on banks to fund the project, particularly Standard Bank.
