Ezulwini – The Central Bank of Eswatini is hosting the State of Inclusive Instant Payment Systems 2025 Media Workshop at its Ezulwini complex. Local and international journalists are attending the interactive session to deepen their understanding of financial inclusion and digital payments.
Speakers are discussing Digital Public Infrastructure, examining how identification systems, payment switches, and instant payment technologies are shaping Africa’s financial future. Policy and regulatory issues are also on the agenda, including insights on the Eswatini national switch and lessons for achieving interoperability.
Participants are taking part in practical exercises on turning raw financial data into compelling stories and gaining an overview of the State of Inclusive Instant Payment Systems, including what to expect in the coming years.
A journalist-led panel is engaging attendees on the challenges and opportunities in reporting on instant payments and advancing digital inclusion across the region.
