Mbabane- His Majesty King Mswati III has called on Emaswati to work harder and aspire to become business tycoons.
Addressing the Eswatini Entrepreneur of the Year Awards (EYA) National Gala Dinner 2025 at the Mavuso Exhibition Centre, His Majesty commended the continuous growth of both the awards and the country’s entrepreneurial spirit.
“We were not this many when we started, and this ceremony continues to grow. We hope that next year we will have even more participants” he said.
His Majesty expressed joy at the success stories shared by past winners, noting that many have expanded beyond Eswatini’s borders.
“We are proud that they are now also recognised internationally as Sibusiso Batjiees from Datamatics who won the overall award last year has told us that he is now doing business internationally and has also been nominated for a prestigious award at Unated Arab Emirates,” said his Majesty
Encouraging resilience among those who did not win this year, the His Majesty urged entrepreneurs to remain committed to their goals and to focus on creating billionaires who will thrive within Eswatini and compete internationally.
