Mbabane – Motorists will rest happily knowing that they will save money in their pockets when going to refuel.
This follows the Ministry of Natural Resources and Energy fuel adjustment for petrol, diesel and paraffin announcement which kicks in on Thursday midnight, effective Friday November 7.
“The Ministry of Natural Resources and Energy hereby informs the public of a fuel price decrease,” the ministry’s Principal Secretary Lindiwe Mbingo said in the statement.
The price of Unleaded Petrol, Diesel 50ppm S and Illuminating Paraffin will decrease by 45 cents per litre. The new regulated fuel prices will therefore be as follows:
- Unleaded Petrol (ULP95): decreases from E20.60 to E20.15 per litre
- Diesel (0.005%S): decreases from E21.00 to E20.55 per litre
- Illuminating Paraffin: decreases from E15.35 to E14.90 per litre
The adjustment is attributed to the decline in Brent crude oil prices, which averaged US$64 per barrel in October 2025 compared to US$67 per barrel in September 2025. Furthermore, the Lilangeni appreciated against the US Dollar, averaging E17.29 in October compared to E17.52 in the preceding month.
“The lower crude oil price, coupled with the stronger Lilangeni, had a positive impact on local fuel prices,” Mbingo said.
She urged members of the public to use fuel responsibly and efficiently, noting that international oil markets and the Lilangeni/Dollar exchange rate remain highly volatile.
