Mbabane- The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Trade is expected to convene a 250-delegated Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) conference at the Royal Villas Hotel from 10 to 12 November with a focus on strengthening the sector’s growth and sustainability.
Physical attendance to the conference will be by invitation, organisers say, and participants are encouraged to register through their electronic invitations to secure seats. The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Trade has confirmed that it will also be livestreaming the event alongside the SEDCO website.
The MSME conference’s main objectives include fostering knowledge sharing and collaboration among local and regional MSMEs, the private sector, government bodies, financial institutions and international development partners. This will cover key development areas such as financing, market access, technology adoption, innovation and digital integration.
The conference will also focus on identifying and addressing persistent challenges affecting the growth of Swazi MSMEs. It will create a platform for generating practical solutions and policy recommendations that can help overcome these challenges and improve the operating environment for small businesses.
In addition, the conference aims to establish innovative structures that promote resilience and sustainability within the MSME sector. These efforts are expected to strengthen the capacity of small enterprises to adapt to changing market conditions and contribute meaningfully to economic development.
