Nkwene and Ndzangu – The Taiwan Technical Mission hosted a one-day Guava and Dragon Fruit Farmers’ Workshop this week, bringing together 51 local farmers to enhance their skills in fruit cultivation.
The training covered practical techniques including site selection, pruning, fertilisation, pest control, and overall fruit management. Farmers also learned about proper irrigation methods, trellis design, and balanced nutrition to improve the quality and yield of guava and red dragon fruit.
Interactive sessions and hands-on demonstrations provided participants with the confidence and knowledge to strengthen their farms and support cooperative development in the region.
