His Majesty King Mswati III handed over development projects worth over E57 million to 38 cooperatives and businesses in the Manzini Region on Friday 31 October 2025. The projects, funded through the Regional Development Fund (RDF), aim to boost local enterprise and create employment.
During the visit, the King commissioned the Lugaganeni-Kukhanyeni-Luve Road, a major infrastructure project estimated at E400 million. He also toured the newly rebuilt Kukhanyeni Inkhundla centre, which had been destroyed by arson in 2021. The centre now features a modern CCTV security system to enhance safety.

His Majesty assured Kukhanyeni constituents that the Government will construct 10 houses for vulnerable families as part of the nationwide campaign launched at Madlangempisi earlier this year to provide decent shelter for the less privileged.
The King encouraged residents to develop innovative business ideas that could attract RDF funding, stressing that such initiatives would benefit the nation and generate meaningful employment opportunities.
