MBABANE – Young farmers across Eswatini stand a chance to receive input support valued at E5,000 to help grow their vegetable and poultry production enterprises.
The Eswatini National Agricultural Union (ESNAU), working in partnership with the Financial Inclusion and Cluster Development (FINCLUDE) project, launched the initiative to empower youth agripreneurs and improve agricultural productivity nationwide.
The support grant targets ESNAU members and FINCLUDE beneficiaries who are actively engaged in commercial vegetable farming or broiler production. Youth working closely with the Ministry of Agriculture’s extension officers are also eligible to apply.
To qualify, vegetable producers must operate on at least 0.25 hectares of land and complete a minimum of two production cycles per year. Poultry producers are required to rear at least 100 birds per cycle and complete four cycles annually.
Applicants are expected to submit business plans to FINCLUDE according to their respective regions.
