Mbabane – The Royal Eswatini Police Service has reported a series of arrests across the country between October 9 and 15, 2025, involving cases of murder, armed robbery, theft, and drug possession.
At Nsalitje, a 40-year-old man was taken into custody for the murder of a 66-year-old South African man from Newcastle. The victim was discovered on October 6 with two stab wounds to the stomach.
In Big Bend, police arrested two men aged 35 and 22 from Lomahasha, along with a 31-year-old man from Lavumisa, for an armed robbery that took place on October 7. The suspects allegedly robbed a 31-year-old woman of Mbabala at gunpoint, stealing three cellphones worth E4 400 and cash amounting to E4 500.
Still in the same area, a 32-year-old man from Gilgal and a 19-year-old from Maphungwane were detained for allegedly stealing 150 aluminium pipes valued at E139 850 from the Majombe section.
At kaMkhweli under Siphofaneni, a 25-year-old man was arrested in connection with the murder of a 61-year-old woman, who was found dead with a severe wound above her eye during the early hours of October 7.
In Siteki, a 41-year-old woman from Matsetsa was charged after allegedly breaking into her office and stealing E30 000.
Police operations in Hlathikhulu led to the arrest of a 57-year-old woman from Tholulwazi who was found with 132.5 kilograms of dagga without a licence.
At Mliba, two men aged 47 and 30 were nabbed at a roadblock in Msinda while transporting 516 kilograms of dagga in a Nissan truck without a permit.
In Malkerns, a 24-year-old man from Matsapha and his 23-year-old accomplice from Nkhanini were arrested for breaking into a storeroom at Malkerns Garage and stealing goods worth E43 000.
The Royal Eswatini Police Service urged members of the public to continue supporting law enforcement efforts aimed at ensuring national safety and security.
