Lubulini police have arrested a 24-year-old man from Sithobelweni after finding 35.7 kilograms of dagga at Nsoko Railway Station. The operation is part of Operation Thunder, a nationwide campaign targeting dagga cultivation and trafficking. Authorities also destroyed four hectares of illegal dagga fields along the Mtimphofu River.
In separate cases, the Royal Eswatini Police Service has arrested several individuals in connection with sexual offences against minors. A 47-year-old man from Ngudzeni faces charges for raping a seven-year-old girl in September 2025. Malkerns police charged a 20-year-old man from Mashobeni in a case involving a 15-year-old girl from Khalangilile, while Piggs Peak police apprehended an 18-year-old boy for sexually violating a 10-year-old girl from Malanda on September 9, 2025.
