Mbabane: Minister of Health Lizzie Nkosi has announced one (1) new COVID-19 death, taking the death toll to Five (5).
The Minister said the deceased was a 72 year old woman who was admitted at the Lubombo Referral Hospital. Nkosi said the patient was admitted 3 days ago with moderate condition but unfortunately her situation changed rapidly due to complications from other pre-existing conditions.
On another Nkosi announced an additional of four (4) new confirmed cases which was came out positive out of from 133 results. The new cases comprises of 3 males from Manzini and Hhohho regions and one female from Manzini Region. All of them are asymptomatic patients.
Nkosi revealed that the total number of recoveries has also increased to 285 as nine (9) patients discharged on June 20. The total number of active cases now stands at 333. Out of the total number of cases 320 are males while 307 are females.
Nkosi said although most cases are from the Manzini region but there has been a steady increase in the other regions more especially in the past few days as notably Shiselweni region region recorded 22 cases in one day on June 19.
