Mbabane – The Trans Africa Tourism and Unity Campaign led by Hon. Ras Mubarak departed the Kingdom of Eswatini this morning for Mozambique, their 15th country on a 163-day road journey across 39 African nations. The campaign, endorsed by the Government of Ghana, advocates for a visa-free Africa, Pan African unity, and continental economic integration.
Speaking before their departure, Mubarak described Eswatini as “amazing” and a “hidden gem” that every traveler should experience. “The country’s natural beauty will leave you in awe. The warm hospitality of the Swazi people, the rich cultural heritage, and the vibrant markets will capture your heart,” he said.
He expressed deep gratitude to His Majesty King Mswati III, the government, and the people of Eswatini for the warm reception his team received during their stay. Mubarak also paid tribute to Ghana’s Honorary Consul in Eswatini, Kobla Quashie, whom he described as a man whose “selfless sacrifices for Ghana and Africa are yet to be truly recognized.”

During their visit, the delegation was graciously hosted for lunch by distinguished members of the Ghanaian community in Eswatini, some of whom have lived in the kingdom since the early 1980s. Later in the evening, they were visited by members of the Association of Nigerians in Eswatini, who came to show solidarity and offer encouragement for their Pan African journey aimed at promoting a visa-free Africa.
Mubarak, in a lighthearted moment, told the Nigerian guests that cities like Calabar and Abuja were beautiful and deserved more tourism promotion instead of the long-standing jollof rice rivalry with Ghanaians, “the answer of which is obvious, Ghana,” he said jokingly.
He described the interactions as “a fruitful discussion about the Africa we want,” adding that unity and collaboration remain key to Africa’s progress.
