Eswatini Bank Mbabane Branch Entrance Packed with Customers

Mbabane: At the height of the rapid increasing numbers of confirmed cases, Eswatini Bank customers were this afternoon found to be not adhering to the social distancing COVID-19 regulations. About 50 people stood bunched up at the doorsteps of the Bank at the Mbabane branch.

Independent News has established that the customers had come for various bank services which include changing Pin codes, registering for online banking, cashing pension gratuities and others.

While bunched up the customers were seen talking to one of the Bank’s officials who had been attending to them, who himself did not wear his mask properly.

When drawn for comment, the Bank’s Communications Officer, Phesheya Vilakati, sought a questionnaire to be sent to him in writing. He only mentioned that the Bank provides sanitizers at the entrance, in addition to allowing less that 20 people in the Bank.
