MPAKA – The Ministry of Information, Communications and Technology, together with the Eswatini Communications Commission and the Eswatini National Commission for UNESCO, visited Mpaka and Siteki Nazarene High School and The Good Shepherd College of Nursing on Tuesday to educate students on cybercrime and online safety.
The initiative, part of the “Asiphepheni, Secure our World” Cybersecurity Awareness Campaign, aimed to equip students with knowledge on cyber bullying, digital responsibility, and legal avenues for reporting cybercrime.
Students actively interacted with cybercrime experts, gaining practical insights on how to protect themselves online. The programme comes as Eswatini experiences a 37 percent increase in social media engagement, prompting authorities to encourage young people to be mindful of their digital footprint.
