Jack Grealish scored a stoppage-time goal as Everton came from behind to beat Crystal Palace 2-1 at Hill Dickinson Stadium on Sunday, ending Palace’s 19-game unbeaten run.
Crystal Palace had taken the lead in the 37th minute through Daniel Munoz, following a string of chances and saves that kept Everton under pressure throughout the first half. Tyrick Mitchell’s effort grazed the crossbar while Jean-Philippe Mateta missed clear opportunities before and after half-time.
Everton levelled in the 76th minute when Iliman Ndiaye converted a penalty, setting the stage for Grealish’s dramatic winner as he redirected Munoz’s clearance into the net during stoppage time. Goalkeeper Jordan Pickford made several key saves late on to secure the victory.
The result moves Everton into seventh place, just one point and two positions behind fifth-placed Palace in the Premier League standings.
