Dakar, Senegal – The Ministry of Natural Resources and Energy has confirmed that Eswatini participated in the 14th Ordinary Session of the Governing Council of the African Ministers’ Council on Water (AMCOW), which was held in Dakar, Senegal from 27 to 29 September 2025.
The meeting opened with technical sessions led by the Technical Advisory Committee and the Technical Experts Committee on 27 and 28 September. Their reports and recommendations were adopted by the Governing Council of Ministers during the official meeting on 29 September.
Eswatini was represented by Under Secretary Ms Gabisile Mabuza, who attended on behalf of the Minister of Natural Resources and Energy. She was accompanied by the Director of Water Affairs, Mr Makhosini Khoza.
The delegation joined other African states in discussing pressing water challenges, with the council adopting joint decisions aimed at strengthening cooperation and advancing sustainable water management across the continent.
