Mbabane – A high-level tourism delegation from Taiwan is visiting Eswatini from September 26 to October 1, 2025, as part of efforts to expand cooperation between the two nations in the tourism sector. The mission brings together senior executives from leading Taiwanese travel agencies and hotel groups, alongside members of the Taiwan Hotel Association.
The delegation is made up of representatives from Richmond Tours, CP Travel Service, South East Travel, YS Travel, Discovered Travel Service, Lion Travel, Phoenix Tours, Leofoo Tourism Group and Colorful Tour Travel Agency. Their mandate is to build direct links with local operators, exchange expertise with industry stakeholders and gain first-hand experience of Eswatini’s natural, cultural and hospitality offerings.
Their official programme began on September 26 with a Tourism Partnership Briefing at Hilton Mbabane. The session featured opening remarks by Taiwan’s Ambassador to Eswatini, Ching-lin Tsuei. Presentations followed from Eswatini Tourism Authority CEO Vusie Dlamini, the Hospitality and Tourism Association of Eswatini (HOTAES) and the Eswatini Tour Guides and Tours Operators Association (ENTOTOGA).
During their stay, the delegation is scheduled to tour some of the kingdom’s most iconic sites, including Sibebe Rock, Malolotja Nature Reserve, Hlane National Park, Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary and Mantenga Cultural Village. They will also visit renowned craft hubs such as Swazi Candles and Ngwenya Glass to experience Eswatini’s creative industries.
The itinerary further includes inspections of local hotels and lodges. These will take place at Hilton Garden Inn, Summerfield, Sibebe Resort, Mountain Inn, Mantenga Lodge and Happy Valley, where delegates will meet with Eswatini’s hospitality industry leaders.
On September 29, the group will pay an official courtesy call to the Acting Minister of Tourism for discussions on enhancing cooperation and exchanges in the tourism sector.
