Mbabane: The total number of new confirmed cases has surged to 340 as 7 new cases confirmed on Monday.
Minister of Health Lizzie Nkosi has announced that the ministry received 130 results of which 123 came out negative while 7 tested positive for COVID-19. It is observed that 5 of the new cases are from Hhohho region which suggest that the region has recorded 20 new cases in four (4) days which is the highest number than the rest of the regions in those 20 days. However, Manzini remains the epicenter of the pandemic as 198 9f the total cases are from the Manzini region.
On another, the Minister announced an additional of four (4) New Recoveries, bringing up the total number of recoveries to 229.
According the Minister’s statement 35 of the patients are admitted at the hospital whereas 66 are being treated from home.
Nkosi has once again appreciated the all frontline workers who have continued to work diligently in taking care of the patients who have unfortunately contracted the stubborn coronavirus. Nkosi went on to urge the public to continue observing all safety advices given by the ministry of health and World Health Organization. This advices includes frequent washing of hands with running water and soap, keep social distancing, and avoid unnecessary movements.
