Johannesburg – The Miss South Africa Organisation will this week announce the Top 10 contestants for the 2025 edition of the pageant, along with the date of the grand finale.
This year’s contest will be different from past formats. Traditionally, the competition began with a Top 30 before narrowing down to the finalists, but the 2025 edition will skip that stage. Another change is the absence of Crown Chasers, the reality show that previously offered viewers behind-the-scenes coverage of the pageant journey.
“The wait is finally over. From unforgettable moments to new beginnings, the legacy continues. On 16 September 2025, we’re revealing the Miss SA 2025 Top 10 and announcing the finale date. The countdown to the crown has officially begun,” the organisation stated on Sunday.
The competition is also unfolding under new leadership. Creative director Werner Wessels stepped down in January, calling his time with Miss SA “a dream come true” and reflecting on the impact of his work. In July, long-serving CEO Stephanie Weil also exited, with the organisation confirming that she would stay only long enough to ensure a smooth transition.
