Manzini – The Swaziland National Association of Teachers (SNAT) has confirmed that this year’s Teachers Day celebrations, coinciding with its 97th anniversary, will be held at the Mavuso Trade and Exhibition Centre in Manzini on October 24.
This announcement follows earlier indications that the event would take place in Manzini at a yet-to-be-disclosed venue. Coincidentally, the Mavuso Trade and Exhibition Centre also served as the venue for last year’s Teachers Day festivities, making it a familiar and fitting location for yet another occasion.
Adding to the excitement, the SNAT Secretary General, Lot Vilakati, revealed plans for an exclusive after-party following the day’s main festivities. Vilakati stated that the decision to host an after-party came directly from teachers’ requests, demonstrating the union’s responsiveness to its members’ desires.
To ensure an epic event, SNAT has entrusted New Life Entertainment to organise this year’s after-party.
Vilakati also promised teachers that New Life Entertainment would, in due course, provide detailed logistics for the after-party, adding that this proactive approach aims to keep teachers well-informed and excited about the upcoming celebrations.
In addition to the festivities, special commemorative T-shirts will be available for purchase. Members of SNAT are assured that they can acquire these T-shirts for E80, while non-members will be charged E230.
Vilakati said this initiative allows participants to proudly display their affiliation and commemorate the SNAT’s 97th anniversary.
