Manzini – The Ministry of ICT yesterday wrapped up a seminar that explored Eswatini’s transition into a digital-driven economy, bringing together experts, government officials and members of the public.
Held in Manzini, the day-long session focused on how technology can transform service delivery, with one of the central discussions titled Government in Your Hand. Speakers said the initiative seeks to make government services more accessible and secure for all citizens through digital platforms.
Artificial Intelligence was another key topic, with presenters pointing out that AI is no longer confined to research spaces but is already shaping industries and contributing to economic growth. Experts also stressed that AI should be seen as a tool to enhance human capabilities rather than replace them.
Earlier in the day, participants engaged in discussions on cybersecurity and digital trust. The seminar also examined how technology is changing healthcare access in the country, particularly through telemedicine and e-health solutions.
The ministry expressed appreciation to those who took part in the event and urged emaSwati to attend upcoming ICT workshops, saying such sessions are designed to equip people with knowledge and skills to adapt to the evolving digital landscape.
