Mbabane: Indonesia Consular Honorable Karem Ashraf has donated food parcels worth E200 000 to Members of the Parliament in the Foreign and Defense Portfolio Committees.
Speaking during the donation that was held at Price House wholesale in Manzini Karem Ashraf said those comes in response to the food insecurity challenge brought by the outbreak of COVID-19 in the country.
The Members of the Parliament in the Foreign and Defense Committees include Phila Buthelezi from Matsanjeni North constituency, Macford Sibandze from Manzini North, Sibusiso Mabhanisi Dlamini from Kwaluseni, Robert Magongo- Motjane, Muzi Kunene-Zombodze Emuva, Sibusiso Nxumalo-Madlangempisi, Mduduzi Bacede Mabuza-Hosea, Mabulala Maseko-Maphalaleni, Strydom Mpanza-Shiselweni II and Jacob Malambe from Mhlume constituency.
Deputy Speaker and member of the Parliament Phila Buthelezi appreciated the donation from the Consular on behalf of the MPs, saying this donation will go extra mile in assisting the most devastated communities in the country. Buthelezi added that this donation came at a time when the country is coming to terms with the economic recession.
